Namaste Village Twickenham – Unlimited Weekday Vegetarian Buffet Experience
Today I decided to visit Namaste Village, a vegetarian restaurant in Twickenham, which felt like the perfect pick for me. It’s located at 27 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3JZ – right in the heart of town. What really caught my attention was their weekday unlimited buffet, which sounded like great value. The buffet is priced at £11.95 per adult, which I think is very reasonable. I had phoned ahead to book – I read online that it’s a good idea to reserve in advance so the restaurant can prepare and cater for the number of guests coming in.
First Impressions at Namaste Village Twickenham
Once I arrived at Namaste Village Twickenham, the restaurant seemed fairly quiet. Sometimes you hope for a bit of a buzz, especially at a buffet restaurant, since a steady flow of diners usually means the food gets replenished more often. But the friendly waiter who showed me to my table put me at ease straight away. He assured me that they’d keep refreshing the buffet regularly, regardless of how busy it is. The decor was bright, clean, and inviting, with a nice selection of tables to choose from. I went for a table by the wall and took a moment to check out the different menus they had on offer.

Exploring the Vegetarian Buffet Options
Once I had sat down, the friendly waitress kindly pointed me to the buffet menu displayed on the table, highlighting all the dishes included. The weekday vegetarian buffet featured a generous spread: two hot appetisers, four mains, two side dishes, chutneys, papadums, salad, and a rice pudding dessert. I was given two plates—one for the sides and another for the mains—which I thought was a nice touch.
I was genuinely excited to try everything! To accompany my meal, I ordered a large Coke with lemon and ice for £3.95.

Buffet First Impressions: A Vegetarian’s Delight
I was so excited as I walked up to the buffet table—it was clean, welcoming, and the food looked plentiful. I skipped the side plate and went straight for the main one, piling it high with a bit of everything like a kid in a candy shop! The best part? Since everything was vegetarian, I didn’t have to worry about picking and choosing—it was all perfect for me.
As I was selecting my food, one of the waiters came over and added fresh naan straight to my plate, which was a lovely touch. I was so hungry, but I resisted the temptation to start eating right away—I waited until I got back to my table to enjoy it properly.

Tucking In: Flavours That Hit the Spot
Once I got back to my table, I tucked into my first plate of food—I didn’t even stop to savour the flavours at first, I was that hungry! But on my second trip up, I took my time and really enjoyed the variety of dishes on offer. All the food was tasty and full of flavour.
I ended up having three full plates in total. I could’ve gone for more, but for me, it’s important to feel satisfied, not stuffed. The buffet was always being topped up—whenever the food ran low, the staff were quick to replenish it, which was great to see. The service throughout was friendly and attentive.

A Sweet Ending and Final Impressions
Once I had finished the buffet, the waitress brought over a small bowl of rice pudding—a perfect finish to a hearty and satisfying meal. The dessert was light, creamy, and just the right portion to round things off.
Before leaving, I visited the bathroom. There’s a single, shared facility for both males and females. It was nice, clean, and quite spacious. As you walk down the stairs to the bathroom, you’ll also spot some lovely framed photos that add a thoughtful touch to the decor.

Final Thoughts and a Sweet Surprise
Once I returned from the bathroom, I asked for the bill. Along with it, the staff kindly offered a couple of mango sweets, which was a lovely way to end the meal. Please note that there is a service charge of approximately 12% added to the bill—this wasn’t an issue for me at all, as the service throughout was excellent.
Before I left, the waiter also mentioned that Namaste Village Twickenham is planning to trial a breakfast buffet soon. I’ll definitely be coming back to check that out—stay tuned for my upcoming review of their breakfast offering!
